I just wanted to thank all that attended the back to school night tonight. It was so great to meet all of you! I am looking forward to getting to know each of your children and your families. Home visits will take place tomorrow and Friday. I will collect any paperwork you have to turn in while at the visit. If you have any questions please write them down so that I can answer them during the visit. Please feel free to also email me with your questions as well.
In your folder from back to school night there was a paper about Remind. This is a FREE app that you can download and sign up for notifications from me. I do not see your phone number/email, nor is it shared with anyone else, and you do not see mine. This allows me to send out a text/email reminders to all families who signed up to use the app. I will send notifications from time to time about school events, reminders of paperwork, special events, etc.
We are still in need for more parents to help getting the students through the lunch line the first few days of school. If you are interested in helping please contact me about days that still have openings.

Welcome 2014-2015 Families!
Hard to believe the start of school is less than a month away! I always get excited for this time of year. Please check this blog weekly to stay up to date to classroom and school information. School registration is going to be held on August 1st. All MCSD schools will hold their registration at Muscatine High School, this provides families with a one stop connivence! Once registration is completed and I have my official class list, I will begin to contact families to schedule home visits.
Back to school night will be held on August 13th from 5:00-6:30pm at Colorado Elementary School. All students and their families are asked to stop in to bring their school supplies and meet the teachers. Home visits will be held August 14th and 15th.
Kindergarten starts school as a staggered start. This means 1/2 the class will come to school on August 18th. The other half of the class will come to school on August 19th. Then the entire class will start together on August 20th.
I look forward to meeting everyone soon and starting another fun and exciting year at Colorado Elementary School!
